an eventful week

As many of you know, I love whitewater rafting so last Saturday I went with a good friend of mine. We spent all day in the Great Smokies and rafted down the Pigeon River. No one fell out, no one got hurt… that’s always a good trip. But it was pouring rain all day so water was hitting us from above and below. We were soaked!

Afterwards, my friend’s husband and another longtime friend of mine met back at my house where we sat around, looked through old yearbooks, talked about high school (we do have our 10 year reunion coming up soon), and just simply had a good time. The last person left around 2 AM on Sunday morning.

I am so thankful for friends like these guys. They make life so much fun!

On Monday morning I received a call at work from my next door neighbor’s daughter telling me I had a water pipe leak in the front yard. So as exciting as this sounds, it really was just another thing to take care of… leaking at 5 gallons a minute so the water company technician said… he turned my water off and I spent Monday night with my mother who still had water…

The builder fixed the pipe the next morning so all is well at the SpotsBug home again…

On Wednesday night, the same friend that went rafting and I went North on I-85 to the big city of Charlotte for a John Mayer concert. We had another fun time and John Mayer was GREAT!!

Thursday rolled around and my good friend from Kentucky is here visiting for the week so we went to the movie. We saw the Chuck & Larry movie… if you like comedies, you’d probably like this one…

Tonight (Friday), I went to visit my boss who just recently had a baby. She and her husband looked a little tired, but exceptionally happy to be new parents… and their little boy is just adorable. The three of them make the cutest little family and I’m so very happy for them.

All in all, it has been a great, but an eventful week (minus the slight plumbing issue on Monday). Hopefully, I can relax a little on Saturday to start a whole new week Sunday…
